…and everyone else!
2012 was already going to be great. This just takes it to a whole new level.

These thoughts capture mine almost exactly.
“Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is an exciting, well crafted roller coaster ride of holiday entertainment. In many ways, it is one of the best movies this year. Even so, fans of the book will find that the story has been changed in significant ways. . . . but it must be noted there is still a strong faith element, salvation theme and references to the Son of the Creator of the Universe having another name in our world and Lucy and Edmund needing to get to know him. . . . in every respect a four star movie, in terms of entertainment and production values. Whereas the book is episodic, the movie has a focused goal and a classic story arc. The characters are well developed, the dialogue is brisk, the 3D and special effects are good, and the ending is heart-rending.”

This has the potential to be the most innovative film in many many years.
The consensus from Rotten Tomatoes: “Smart, innovative, and thrilling, Inception is that rare summer blockbuster that succeeds viscerally as well as intellectually.”
Thusfar it’s 87% fresh.
There’s very little chance I won’t be seeing it at 24:00 today [tomorrow?].

Just watched this for the first time with my family and am tremendously excited about it all over again. It does indeed (from the trailer, at least), look as if the film will divert from the book in some ways. Regardless, I’m very hopeful that this film will inject some life into the film franchise.

I’ve now seen this film three times, and am increasingly astonished by its beauty & emotional force.
I’m on board with this review line-by-line.
An excerpt that captures it for me:
“Winsome, touching and arguably the funniest Pixar effort ever, the gorgeously rendered, high-flying adventure is a tidy 90-minute distillation of all the signature touches that came before it.”
Such an important topic. As an avid fan of the medium, I’m always thrilled to hear voices speaking about it redemptively. I love the Centre for Public Christianity, and I love film, so this was a solid gold find.
Enjoy.

Also, as a super-terrific bonus, he’s made a fascinating documentary called Purple State of Mind
It is with profound sadness that I post what may indeed be the final episode of the best show on television.
I offer my own humble petition that this great work may not go unrecognized by the tv gods and find its rightful place somewhere on my dial for years to come.
I have written letters to the fickle tv gods, I now offer this as proof positive that this show must not go away forever.
It would be shameful…
The tv gods are no gods at all!
Lord, raise up a generation committed to serving you in this medium.
