Why can’t He just be The Father as described continuously in the bible?
Now this is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.
It makes me angry and ashamed.
What’s disturbing is the recklessness of the people at A Little Leaven. Are they surprised to hear these things from the emergent movement? They need to calm down.
That being said, yikes.
Granted that the people there are reactionary, the greater problem is an undeniable carelessness on behalf of a church and ministry that many in my circle continue to look to for guidance.
I’ll grant the leaven crowd some rope.
They’re much better at tragic comedy anyway.
True. I can’t visit that website often or stay very long, it’s too discouraging all around.
Many times I find myself not thinking before I speak, and I’ll often say something under my breath about Rob Bell and his church when brought up in conversation. What I have wanted to say, but have yet to say when caught in a situation of this kind is that I truly believe it is much better to learn from a church/ministry that has preached the Gospel, and has stayed true to what the Word of God says. I believe it is dangerous (especially at this point in my life) to read material that may challenge what the Bible teaches without proper guidance in place. Mark Driscoll has said it much better than I, but why waste my time and money on such things?
