RELEVANT’s Top Ten Films of 2008

I wholeheartedly agree with their top two choices, and Iron Man.

As the father of two small children, I cannot speak intelligently about the rest.

What say you to their list?

Have you seen any of the others?

  1. Since you asked.

I agree with number one and number three. I do not feel, however, that Wall E deserves the number two spot. It was good, but the second best movie of the whole year? I’m not so sure. Also, I don’t know how Iron Man made it into the top ten.

    Maybe I’m jaded.

  2. the dark knight was the best by far.

i’m not sure about the rest on the list, but one that didn’t make it that i would highly recommend is Doubt.

  3. Agree with the top two, although I’m not sure about the order – Wall E was that good. I’m yet to see most of the others on the list, and I’m on the fence about Iron Man.

I saw “Doubt” as a play in Dublin, Ireland 2 years ago and it was great. Now I’m unsure if I want to see the film (although the cast looks great).

  4. I have not seen Wall E, but I can agree with Benjamin Button being in the top 10. I thought it was a great movie.

  5. I agree with the first one, but I’m not so sure about the second. However, I’m not usually one to enjoy animated movies, and I enjoyed it. The only others I have seen are Iron Man, and Be Kind Rewind. I think they both deserve their place.
I do plan on seeing Slumdog Millionaire sometime this coming week. I hear from a few trusted sources that it’s worth the $7.50. I did not hear good things about Benjamin Button, but perhaps I’ll have to reconsider.
