We watched this slide show featuring Chris Tomlin’s “God of This City” featuring shots of our own fair city, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
God is doing great things in our school. He is worthy to be praised.
You’ve already made too many mistakes
To ever amount to anything great
You’re not allowed to dream out loud
You’re far too young to even count
You’re much too poor without any doubt
And you haven’t done nearly enough
To deserve any grace or anyone’s love
God, speak truth.
To the lies we’ve believed instead of you
You’re in the wrong city for that line of work
And you’ll never make it unless you’re a jerk
Live for yourself and store up more wealth
We’ve traded in dreams and youthful ideals
For less noble things of paying the bills
And trying our best to look like the rest
While hiding our fears by the way we all dress
God, speak truth
To the paychecks we have trusted instead of you.
The new album from one of the best bands you’ve never heard of - to be released on Oct. 14.

Veterans of my classes will recognize them from numerous plays both in chapel and in my classes.
You can listen to three tracks from the record at their myspace page
The editor of RELEVANT Magazine, Cameron Strang, recently accepted, then declined an invitation to offer the benediction on the opening night of the Democratic National Convention.Author Don Miller (”Blue Like Jazz”) offered the following benediction in place of Cameron.
Good stuff from Cameron and Don. What say you?
This is Molly Eimer, one of the many outstanding persons from the Class of 2008 that I’ve had the privilege to teach, and better yet, know. They are the salt of the earth and dear to every person in my family.

Please particularly pray for Molly and her sister, Kaitlyn as they minister overseas during the next year.
To say that we are proud would be an understatement.
May God use you mightily to advance His kingdom in this world…
As a student of history, I am reminded why all this matters a great deal.
The most recent reason why Radiohead is consistently the most interesting band on the planet.
Here’s a fascinating look at the making of the video:
And here’s the actual video itself (with explanation):
In Radiohead’s new video for “House of Cards”, no cameras or lights were used. Instead, 3D plotting technologies collected information about the shapes and relative distances of objects. The video was created entirely with visualizations of that data.
Thank you, Conner Bland.Be watching for this song on Thursday, everyone.
