The “Real” Christian Manifesto
Written by S.G.R. Webster on June 12th, 2008
We are tremendously excited to enter into a study of the Beatitudes this summer at Blackhawk Ministries.
In R.T. France’s commentary on the Gospel of Matthew, he describes the Sermon on the Mount (which begins with the Beatitudes) as “a manifesto setting out the nature of life in the kingdom of heaven.”

Here, Jesus sets out his radical demands on those who respond to His preaching of God’s Kingdom.
A study guide has been made available for reading through the next two months in Matthew 5. It is recommended in the highest terms.
This Sunday, Kelly will take us through the first “beatitude” - Blessed are the Poor in Spirit.
The following Sunday, I’ll be sharing on “Blessed are those who mourn.”
They are all highly subversive, and we can’t wait to see you there.
If you can’t join us, download the study guide, watch or listen online, but above all please pray for us as we trace out Jesus’ own words on what it means to follow Him.
Be Happy! (Fortunate in condition of life)
