Ron Paul

He’ll announce Thursday.

Why exactly was he still in the race?

He remains in the race to promote an agenda: a conservative one that has been lost by the conservative party. He is now mobilizing the movement to work on getting good candidates in state and federal offices.

And I’d also add that his supporters continue to give him funds to stay in the race.

I meant no offense to Ron Paul or his supporters, although it certainly might seem that way.

I just wanted to hear from him.

We haven’t - so it begged the question.

    You have answered it.

Any efforts to improve the efficiency of our remarkably inefficient government ought to be welcomed, even celebrated.

He has lots of supporters and now the means to get some things done.

My thoughts on Ron Paul have always been colored by his possible lack of pragmatism.

Perhaps dismantling the CIA and divesting ourselves of virtually all foreign military presence makes sense, but it’s just not practical.

Does he have the support structure to get any of those things done?

I think it’s an open question.

It’s great to say radical that ought to happen, but if the means to get them done is elusive, if not impossible, it just seems futile.

Maybe he’ll develop an apparatus to make it happen.

I’ll be watching and rooting for him to have a voice.

I was listening to a band that I love and haven’t listened to in a while(Wavorly), and the final line in their song “Endless Day” made me think of you … (Further up and Further in).

Hope you’re having a good time at the Ravi-(less) Conference. See you when you get back.
